Celine Dion in Tears as She Bids Farewell to Las Vegas After 1,141 Performances, Ushering in an Exciting New World Tour

The legendary singer was joined by her three children onstage to mark the end of her 16-year Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Saturday evening.

And after paying tribute to her late husband René Angélil on stage, the star bid farewell to her stint in style as she danced away on the dancefloor until the early hours.

Partying the night away in Vegas alongside DJ Tiesto, the 51-year-old singer looked happy to celebrate holding a critically-acclaimed run, which saw her captivate more than 4.5 million fans with 1,141 gigs over nearly two decades at the entertainment venue.

She wore a sparkling scarlet mini dress with a bold floral pattern that featured a padded shoulder and a wrap skirt to the OMNIA Nightclub.

Celine, and her 80s-inspired outfit, welcomed DJ Tiesto to the booth, where she enjoyed his set while sipping on Grey Goose vodka, before leaving at half three in the morning.

That’s our girl.

Earlier that night, during her very last performance, the All By Myself singer held hands with sons René-Charles, 18, and Nelson and Eddy, eight, as she looked on at images of musical producer René, who sadly died in January 2016 after a battle with throat cancer.

Celine put on an emotional show as she sang her chart-topping hits, as well as her new song Flying On My Own from her upcoming album, Courage, due for release in November.

Speaking about her late husband Celine previously said she is reminded of him every day.

She said in January: ‘I’ve had many great moments in my life. Getting married to the greatest man in this world, knowing he’s in peace and he’s resting and he’s always within me.

‘I see him every day though the eyes of my children. He gave me so much strength.

‘I think I’m at the best of my life right now. I want to enjoy and embrace every moment of it and really enjoy it. I’m having a second wind. The wind beneath my wings, I’m having a good time.’

The singer ends her residency Celine At The Colosseum, which began in March 2011, on a high. It is her second production in Vegas, as her first residency A New Day… opened in March 2003 and ended in December 2007.

According to Billboard, A New Day… is the most successful residency of all time, grossing over $385 million (£302 million), followed by Celine At The Colosseum, which grossed $245.5 million (£192 million) by December 2018.

But it doesn’t end there for Celine, who will take a bit of a summer break and then kick off her Courage world tour on 18 September in Quebec City, Canada.

She will be making stops in over 50 cities across the country and the United States.
