Jack Osbourne and his daughter jumped on the crazy train to honor Ozzy Osbourne.
Over a year after the Black Sabbath rocker died at the age of 76, the 40-year-old and his daughter Pearl, 14, went undercover at Universal Halloween Horror Nights, scaring fans at the Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness haunted maze at Universal Studios Hollywood.
“I’m Jack, and this is my daughter Pearl,” Jack shared in a joint Instagram video with Hollywood Horror Nights Oct. 3. “We are getting geared up, and we’re going to be a Prince of Darkness minion in my dad’s maze.”
“It was a promise I made to Pearl,” he continued, “from the moment I said we were doing this [haunted house], fulfilling it.”
As shown in the footage, the former reality star—who shares Pearl with ex-wife Lisa Stelly—and the teen were transformed into bloody, bat hybrid creatures, wearing priest costumes, scary makeup and horrifying masks.
The clip showed the dad-daughter duo popping out at guests while they walked through the Ozzy maze, with the visitors screaming in horror at the jump scares.
“We were just staying so still,” Jack told the camera after the fun experience, “they thought we were statues!”
And the podcast host—also dad to daughters Andy, 11, and Minnie, 8, with Lisa, along with Maple, 4, and Ozzy, 6 months, with wife Aree Gearheart—proved that he and Pearl had a blast with their “scare acting” adventure while sharing a behind-the-scenes video of how the undercover operation came to be.
“BTS of Pearl and I going undercover at @horrornights,” Jack captioned an Oct. 2 Instagram post. “This is a lot harder than it looks, huge respect for all the scare actors at Universal! So much fun, I would do this every night if I could. Run, don’t walk, to dad’s house!”
And as Jack and Pearl joined Universal Hollywood and Universal Orlando paying tribute to Ozzy with their Prince of Darkness haunted mazes, Sharon Osbourne expressed that her late husband would “absolutely love” to be honored in such a spooky way.
“He’d be laughing his head off,” she told Entertainment Weekly in July. “Ozzy adored horror movies and Halloween. He used to joke that every day was Halloween in our house, so this couldn’t be more fitting.”

Ozzy, born John Michael Osbourne in Birmingham, England, in 1948, struggled with school early on. It was his passion for music that ultimately helped him move forward.
“I left school with a little more education than when I first started going,” he told The Associated Press in 2010. “Because of my dyslexia, I couldn’t learn. So, I was teased a lot by one of my sister about not bing able to read. It’s very shameful.”
“If it wasn’t for The Beatles turning me onto music in a big way, I don’t know what I would have done,” he continued. “Music has been the main thing that got me out of the area, the place I was born.”

In 1968, he and his friends formed Black Sabbath, inspired by the film of the same name, with their self-titled debut album earning major commercial success. In 1971, he married his first wife Thelma Riley, with whom he shared kids Jessica Osbourne, Louis Osbourne and Elliot Kingsley.

Ozzy was happy to sink his teeth into a macabre photo shoot. He was fired from Black Sabbath the year before due to his struggles with alcohol and drug abuse.
“Money would be the alcohol and the drugs and I behaved badly,” he said in his documentary Biography: The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne of that time. “That was one of the lowest points of my life.”

Ozzy—as a solo artist—took the stage at Madison Square Garden for his Diary of a Madman tour, just two days after he infamously bit into a dead bat that was thrown onto the stage, which he believed was fake.
“I just thought it was a rubber bat,” Ozzy said in the documentary, “and I just put it in my mouth and crunched down. I just f–king bit into it, you know, being the f–king clown that I am [and was like], ‘Oh no! It’s real.'”
Later that year, he married his manager, Sharon Arden.
