Bryan Seaver, who worked as Parton’s head of security for more than 20 years, was reportedly fired by the singer’s manager, Danny Nozell, in September.

According to TMZ, Bryan and his security companies were ordered to leave several properties connected to Parton, including her Nashville home, the museum and a warehouse.

The situation later escalated into a legal dispute. TMZ reported that Nozell filed a lawsuit accusing Bryan of making threats and attempting to pressure the estate for money. Bryan has denied threatening anyone, claiming his messages were taken out of context.

The dispute has also raised questions about an alleged confrontation involving Bryan and police officers on the day Parton died.

According to WSMV, the company managing Parton’s estate is seeking police bodycam footage of the alleged incident. The request appeared in documents obtained by TMZ. However, sources close to Bryan told the outlet that no altercation took place.

In September, Parton’s estate obtained a temporary restraining order against Bryan and his private security company. A Tennessee judge extended the order earlier in October.

Bryan has denied the estate’s allegations that he sent threatening messages or threatened to damage Parton’s legacy. He has also asked a Tennessee court to postpone a hearing on the restraining order so he can secure legal representation, according to the Associated Press.

With Rebecca’s reported dismissal now adding another development to the dispute, questions remain about the future of the museum’s operations and the broader conflict surrounding Parton’s estate.
