Rod Stewart, the famous rock singer with the spiky hair, isn’t just a music star—he’s also a super dad to his eight kids. On Thursday, he rocked the stage in Nashville and had a blast with his seven-year-old son, Aiden, making it a night full of fun and love.
Rod’s wife, Penny Lancaster, shared a video of the show. At 73 years old, Rod proved he’s still got tons of energy. He did a silly dance called the “floss” that kids love, and then let Aiden take over with his own awesome dance moves. The crowd cheered as Aiden spun around and even danced on the floor like a pro.
Rod looked cool in a white outfit covered with polka dots, palm trees, and shiny shoes. While singing his hit song “Stay With Me,” he got Aiden to dance with him. Later, they turned the stage into a mini soccer game, kicking big inflatable balls into the audience, which made everyone laugh and cheer.
Rod loves being a dad and plans his concerts around his kids’ school breaks. He told a TV show called ITV’s Lorraine, “I have eight kids, including two little ones. I make sure my tours happen when they’re on vacation.” This weekend, he’s taking them to Florida while he starts his US tour.
To keep up with Aiden and his 12-year-old son Alastair, Rod stays active. “I exercise a lot and used to play soccer all the time. Now I do it less, but I stay healthy by drinking water and sometimes having a little wine,” he said.
Rod also talked about his older kids, Kimberly and Sean, who are grown up now. When they were little, he was super busy singing around the world, so he didn’t see them much. That made them upset. “I told them I wasn’t just having fun—I was working hard to pay off a big debt,” he explained.
Even after all these years, Rod isn’t ready to stop singing. “I love getting on stage and making people smile. It’s a special gift, and I’m so happy to do it,” he said. Whether he’s dancing with Aiden or kicking balls to the crowd, Rod Stewart shows that being a rock star and a dad is the best adventure ever!
