The Prince of Darkness’ family has brought Ozzy Osbourne’s legacy to light one year after his death inside the Universal Halloween Horror Nights tribute house honoring the late rocker.

The Black Sabbath frontman’s son, Jack Osbourne, and the latter’s daughter, Pearl, went undercover this week inside the Hollywood version of the HHN tribute house, where they donned horrifying costumes obscuring their faces as they scared guests from inside the walk-through attraction.

In footage posted by Jack and the official Horror Nights account (below), Jack and Pearl sport bloodied makeup and terrifying masks before they enter a scene that features a giant bat turning the tables in reference to one of Ozzy’s most iconic moments as it hoists up his severed head it has freshly bitten off (EW previously debuted a first look at the scene in September).

“We are getting geared up, and we’re going to be a Prince of Darkness minion in my dad’s maze!” Jack says in the footage as he and Pearly excitedly prepare to enter the house.

Jack adds that doing this with his daughter “was a promise I made to Pearl the moment I said we were doing this [house],” and now they’re “fulfilling it” together.

Footage then shows Jack and Pearl — in costume — jumping out and scaring guests as they walk by the gory scene.

After they exit, Jack exclaims that the pair “were just staying so still” — and it apparently worked, as visitors “thought we were just statues.”

Both Universal Studios Hollywood and the Universal Orlando Resort debuted Horror Nights houses this year, which honor Ozzy with numerous references to his life and career. The narratives vary on both coasts, however, with the Hollywood version exploring more of Ozzy’s backstory as a human, while the Orlando version follows a cult of Prince of Darkness worshippers attempting to resurrect the late icon from the dead.

Music from Ozzy’s solo albums appears throughout both houses, including cuts from The Blizzard of Ozz (1980), Diary of a Madman (1981), Bark at the Moon (1983), No More Tears (1991), Scream (2010), and Ordinary Man (2020).

Sharon added in her EW interview that she thinks her husband would “absolutely love” what Universal did with his legacy.

“He’d be laughing his head off. Ozzy adored horror movies and Halloween. He used to joke that every day was Halloween in our house, so this couldn’t be more fitting,” she said, later adding: “Ozzy always said, ‘After I go, I leave my body of work, my songs to everyone,’ and he would say, ‘Don’t be miserable, just play my music really loud!’ He also used to ask me, ‘Do you think people will remember me?’ I think this incredible tribute, and the love fans continue to show him, answers that question.”

In addition to the Prince of Darkness houses, Universal Halloween Horror Nights’ 2026 edition also features houses and/or scare zones themed to other intellectual properties that appear in both Hollywood and Orlando, including Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, Hellraiser, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Fortnite, Evil Dead Burn, and Stranger Things 5.
