Keith Urban touched down in Australia on Friday, gearing up for a momentous recognition at the Tamworth Country Music Festival. The 57-year-old country music sensation arrived solo, without his wife, actress Nicole Kidman, as he navigated the airport with his luggage in tow.
Dressed for comfort, Urban opted for black track pants, a navy shirt with a striking gold design on the sleeve, and white sneakers. Dark sunglasses completed his effortless look as he made his way through the terminal carrying a black backpack and duffle bag.
The highlight of his visit is his long-awaited induction into the Roll of Renown Hall of Fame during the 53rd Toyota Golden Guitar Awards on Saturday. This esteemed honor celebrates his significant contributions to country music and solidifies his legacy in the industry.
Barry Harley, festival manager, praised Urban’s influence, telling The Daily Telegraph, “Keith Urban represents everything the Tamworth Country Music Festival stands for—hard work, passion, and incredible talent.”
Adding to the accolades, Urban will also take home the Golden Guitar award for the best-selling Australian country album of the year with High.
This milestone comes just months ahead of his High and Alive tour, set to electrify Australian audiences in August 2025. The tour marks his first homecoming performances since December 2022 and serves as a showcase for his latest album.
Spanning nine dates, the arena tour kicks off on August 13 at Newcastle Entertainment Centre, followed by consecutive shows in Brisbane on August 15 and 16. Fans in Wollongong can catch him on August 20 at the WIN Entertainment Centre, before he brings the show to Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena for two nights on August 22 and 23.
Melbourne audiences will experience Urban’s energy at Rod Laver Arena on August 25 and 26, with the tour wrapping up in Adelaide at the Entertainment Centre on August 28. Rising country artist Chase Matthew will open the shows, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience.
Urban’s recent public appearances, including a Golden Globes outing with Nicole Kidman, have only fueled anticipation for his return to Australian stages. With excitement building, fans across the country are eager to witness the country music star in action once again.
