Allegations of Online Threats and Harassment

According to the lawsuit filed by Barnes, Sexyy Red used her Facebook page in early December to encourage her followers to commit acts of violence against Barnes — including telling them to “kick in the door” of her home. The rapper also allegedly posted Barnes’ address and a photo of her house, which Barnes says put her in immediate danger.

Barnes’ attorney, Steven Weaver, told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, “Sexxy Red and her baby daddy are getting into beefs, for whatever reason, that have nothing to do with my client.” He added that attempts to settle the matter privately were dismissed by Sexyy Red’s legal team.

Forced to Relocate, Living in Fear

Barnes claims she was forced to move out of her home due to safety concerns, but has been unable to afford a new home. She says she is now in therapy and living in constant fear due to the fallout from the social media posts.

Sexyy Red has not commented publicly on the lawsuit. The identity of the child’s father involved in the situation has not been disclosed.

“Most-Hated” in the Game?

Sexyy Red recently addressed the hate she receives during an interview on Big Boy’s Neighborhood, saying she feels like the “most hated female rapper” right now.

“I get a lot of love, but they be hating on me,” she said. “They trying to put me down… I feel like muthafuckas tryna bring me down. They don’t like seeing me win.”

Despite the growing backlash, Sexyy continues to build her name in the rap industry — but this lawsuit could become a major setback in her career.
