Adele and Celine Dion had a touching moment at Adele’s recent concert in Las Vegas. Celine was in the audience, and when Adele saw her, she got so emotional that she started to cry. Adele ran over to give Celine a big hug, and everyone in the crowd clapped and cheered.
The concert happened at the Colosseum Theatre at Caesars Palace, a special place because it was built for Celine’s first big show there in 2003. Now, Adele performs there, and it felt like Celine was passing something special to her. Someone who was there said it was like Celine was “handing the keys” to Adele, and the crowd loved it. A person on YouTube named Songs-lr4wt said it best: “This video shows all the feelings. Adele asking where Celine was, Celine crying even after Adele left, and Adele showing so much respect to Celine. It’s a big moment because Adele is singing on the stage made for Celine, and Celine was sitting where famous people like Michael Jackson and Prince once watched her.”
Adele plans to take a break from music after her Las Vegas shows end. She wants to enjoy the life she’s made for herself over the past seven years. Meanwhile, Celine has been dealing with a health problem called Stiff Person’s Syndrome, which makes her muscles stiff and sometimes hurts. Because of this, she had to stop her tour, but she’s working hard to feel better.
Celine made an amazing comeback this year. She hadn’t sung in public for a while because of her health, but she surprised everyone at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. She sang a beautiful song called “Hymne à l’amour” by Edith Piaf from the top of the Eiffel Tower. People loved it so much that she released the live version of the song, and it climbed to number 33 on the U.S. iTunes chart. It’s her first solo song in five years, since her 2019 album Courage. Her voice is so powerful, it’s no surprise she’s back in the top 50.
Earlier this year, Celine also worked with two music producers, Majestic and the Jammin Kid, on a song called “Set My Heart On Fire.” They used parts of her old songs to make something new, and it did well too.
Celine’s return is extra special because of her health struggles with Stiff Person’s Syndrome. She even made a movie about it in June that showed how hard it’s been for her, and people really liked how honest it was.
