Crowd Goes Wild as Luke Combs Stuns Everyone by Joining the Backstreet Boys On Stage for an Unexpected Performance of “I Want It That Way”

Luke Combs continues to surprise his fans. This time, he joined the Backstreet Boys on stage during Stagecoach to sing one of their most famous songs.

And he did a pretty good job.

The Stagecoach headliner’s own set clearly wasn’t enough, as he crashed the famous boy band while they were performing. Luke Combs’ fans have grown to expect anything from him now, but considering the music he puts out, “I Want It That Way” is not a song you’d associate with the country singer.

Stagecoach posted their own video of Luke Combs being on stage with the Backstreet Boys. There have been many fan recordings, however, and I typically prefer to see events like this through their eyes.

On the stage with the boy band, the country singer seems much more comfortable than I thought he’d be. Not only did he sing alongside the band, but he really got into the part. Those standard boy band hand-led dance moves and ‘peering-over-the-crowd’ posture were nailed.

He even got to finish the song as the crowd cheered. You can watch the moment below.

Fans React To Luke Combs Singing With The Backstreet Boys

Not gonna lie, Luke Combs did kill it. I know that country singers are singers at the end of the day, and aren’t confined exclusively to country songs. But, again, I didn’t think he’d slip so naturally into ‘boy band mode.’

His fans took to the comment sections to share their thoughts on the unexpected, but mostly welcome, collab.

“Luke Combs is literally doing side quests,” joked one fan.

“I would simply pass away if I were there, omg,” another admitted.

“Not on my 2025 Bingo Card but here for it,” chimed a third. You and me both.

“You know his wife loved this,” laughed another.

“The collab we never knew we needed,” wrote one more.

Some purists aren’t a fan of this surprise team-up, however.

“Nope, BSB are just fine how they are. Luke Combs is fine how he is. The two shall not mix,” firmly stated one.

For those concerned by this, I really don’t think you should be. The Backstreet Boys and Luke Combs were simply at the same event, and they’re all singers. Of course, he was going to sing with them. After all, why not?
