Hailie Jade Mathers, daughter of rap icon Eminem, has officially launched her new podcast titled “Just a Little Shady” — a clever reference to her father’s famous Slim Shady persona.
The show, which premiered earlier this week, is co-hosted by Hailie and her longtime childhood friend Brittany Ednie. The podcast offers an intimate, casual, and often humorous look into Hailie’s life, her childhood memories, and everyday topics — all with a lighthearted twist.
In the debut episode, the two discuss everything from growing up around tour buses and traveling as kids, to Fourth of July mishaps, risking her life for a dog, and joining in on the “gentleminions” trend. They also talked about hopping on the “Stranger Things” bandwagon, and reflected on their early school days and sweet childhood memories.
One standout story came when Hailie fondly recalled a Disney trip organized by her dad:
“My dad was working on something, he was working all the time but he set up for us to do like the limousine and take it to Disney and we did like the princess party and he had the dresses waiting for us. We were so happy and excited.”
Brittany added, “We loved going to Pistons games. I think Eminem also loved it and that’s why we loved it.”
While the podcast isn’t centered entirely around Eminem, the title and occasional anecdotes about her upbringing with a world-famous father give fans a rare, personal glimpse into what life was like growing up as Slim Shady’s daughter.
