After earning her first No.1 on the country charts with her Blake Shelton duet, it appears Gwen Stefani is embracing her newfound love for the genre (well, kind of).
Stefani was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday (Oct. 19) and appeared in a hilarious skit promoting a fictional country album called Gwen’s Gone Country. The clip showcased Stefani as a country singer with reimagined versions of her biggest hits such as “Don’t Speak,” “Spiderwebs” and “Hollaback Girl.”
“Howdy I’m Buck Pinto, here with a new record I think y’all are going to be mighty excited for see,” Fallon says in the fake infomercial. “If you’re like me, you love the sweet sounds of down-home country music, but if you’re also like me, you love the rockin’ music of multitalented superstar Gwen Stefani. Problem is, you got to choose one or the other.”
“Well, not anymore, thanks to this new album, Gwen’s Gone Country,” he excitedly shares.
Stefani is then seen dressed in her country best performing country-inspired versions of her songs.
