Mustard has officially joined Kendrick Lamar and SZA as the first confirmed supporting act for their highly anticipated Grand National Tour, kicking off later this month.
The massive arena tour begins April 19 in Minneapolis, MN and wraps up June 18 in Landover, MD, with stops in major cities including Houston, Las Vegas, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Los Angeles—Kendrick’s hometown. The tour also makes its way to St. Louis, SZA’s birthplace, and Toronto, the hometown of Kendrick’s current rap rival, Drake.
Mustard took to Instagram on April 1 to share the announcement, writing:
“Let’s get to it !!!! @pglang”
He also revealed that Cash App card holders will get exclusive early access to newly released floor seats, which go on sale Wednesday, April 2 at 10AM local time.
SZA Reacts to Toronto Tour Stop
When SZA appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the host asked if she was nervous about performing two nights in Drake’s hometown amid the ongoing tension between him and Kendrick.
“Are you worried about it at all?” Kimmel asked.
SZA coolly replied, “Are you worried? I think it’s gonna be so fun.”
When Kimmel teased, “What if you-know-who shows up?” SZA joked back:
“Who knows who?”
Mustard Speaks on Drake vs. Kendrick
While Mustard is now in Kendrick’s corner—producing the Grammy-winning hit “Not Like Us”—he’s also previously worked with Drake. In a recent interview with Big Boy, the producer was asked what Drake should do next.
“I don’t know, man,” Mustard said. “I just try to stay aligned with pure shit. Not doing no tactics or gimmicks.”
Without directly naming Drake, Mustard advised artists to focus on making good music instead of chasing clout:
“You don’t need to do that. Just make music, man. Make good music and you’ll be fine.”
With the tension still lingering in the air and the Grand National Tour heating up, fans are expecting more fireworks both on and off the stage.
