The Cleveland Browns pulled off one of the biggest surprises of Week 8, snapping their five-game losing streak with a dramatic victory over division rival Baltimore Ravens. A major part of that win? Backup quarterback Jameis Winston, who stepped up in a big way.
Winston delivered his best performance in years, completing 27 of 41 passes for 334 yards and three touchdowns, including a game-winning strike to Cedric Tillman in the final minute.
Winston Drops an Eminem Quote After the Game
After securing his first start since 2022, Winston was asked about the moment—and he turned to Eminem’s legendary lyrics from “Lose Yourself” to sum it up:
“There’s a white boy from Detroit that I really admire named Eminem. He said, ‘You only get one shot. Do not miss your chance to blow. This opportunity lasts once in a lifetime.'”
Though he slightly misquoted the final line (“comes once in a lifetime”), the message was clear—Winston knew this was his shot, and he made the most of it.
