Kid Rock Appears With Donald Trump In Oval Office As POTUS Signs Executive Order On Concert Ticket Reselling

On Monday evening, Kid Rock stood side by side with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office for the signing of an executive order aimed at tackling ticket scalping, a growing issue in the live entertainment industry. Dressed in a vibrant red, white, and blue outfit, the musician, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, spoke passionately about the challenges fans face when trying to buy concert tickets.

Kid Rock explained that ticket resellers often use bots and algorithms to snatch up large numbers of tickets the moment they go on sale. These tickets are then resold at massive markups—sometimes 400 or 500 percent higher than the original price. “Anyone who’s bought a concert ticket in the last decade, maybe 20 years, knows it’s a conundrum,” he said. He pointed out that artists like himself don’t see any of the extra money from these resales, and fans end up paying unfair prices for their favorite shows.

The executive order directs the Federal Trade Commission and the Attorney General to enforce existing laws more strictly to curb these practices. Kid Rock called it a “great first step” but hopes for future laws that could cap how much resellers can charge. Trump, who affectionately called him “Bob,” praised the move as a way to help fans get fairer access to concerts.

In a surprising twist, Kid Rock also revealed he’s arranged a meeting between Trump and comedian Bill Maher, who has often criticized the president on his TV show. Trump shared on Truth Social that Kid Rock, a close friend, asked him to sit down with Maher at the White House. “I really didn’t like the idea much, and don’t like it much now, but thought it would be interesting,” Trump wrote. He expects Maher to remain critical, comparing him to Democrats who didn’t applaud during his recent speech to Congress. Still, Trump said he’s open to the meeting as a favor to Kid Rock, adding that UFC boss Dana White might join them. “It might be fun, or it might not,” Trump noted, promising to share how it goes.

The meeting could happen soon, possibly as early as Tuesday, though neither the White House nor Maher’s team commented on the plans. Kid Rock’s bold move to bring these two together has sparked curiosity, with fans wondering if it could lead to a lively or unexpected conversation.

When Pop Met Rock: Taylor Swift And Mick Jagger Electrify Nashville With Iconic Surprise Duet

[Nashville, TN – 2015] — It was a night already brimming with excitement. Thousands of fans packed into the Nissan Stadium, eagerly anticipating another dazzling stop on Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour. But what no one expected was a moment that would go down as one of the most unforgettable in the tour’s history — a surprise collaboration that fused generations, genres, and pure star power. Midway through her setlist, Swift paused, teasing the crowd with a promise: “Tonight, I thought we’d do something special.” Moments later, the unmistakable guitar riff of The Rolling Stones’ classic “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” burst through the speakers — and Mick Jagger himself strutted onto the stage. The stadium exploded. A Collision Of Legends Swift, then at the peak of her 1989 era, and Jagger, the living embodiment of rock ‘n’ roll swagger, joined forces for a powerful, high-energy rendition of the Stones’ 1965 hit. What made the performance so electric wasn’t just the surprise — it was the seamless chemistry between the two. Swift brought her signature charisma and vocal control, while Jagger danced and sang with the same fire that had defined his decades-long career. The contrast — and connection — between them was magnetic. The performance wasn’t rehearsed to perfection. It wasn’t polished. And that’s what made it feel alive. How It Happened: From Text To Tour Backstage sources later revealed that the collaboration had come together almost by chance. Swift, hearing that Jagger was in Nashville, sent him a message. According to her, “He was hesitant at first…
