Paul McCartney Pays Ringo Starr a Heartfelt Tribute on His 84th Birthday

Today is a special day because Ringo Starr, the drummer from the famous band The Beatles, is turning 84 years old! His old friend and bandmate Paul McCartney made sure to wish him a happy birthday. It’s so nice to see them still being pals!

This morning, Paul shared two pictures on Instagram. One picture shows him and Ringo sitting together and laughing at a fashion show put on by Paul’s daughter, Stella McCartney. The other picture is of Paul’s dad, Jim McCartney, who isn’t alive anymore. Ringo and Jim have the same birthday, but they were born in different years.

Paul wrote, “Happy birthday to Ringo and to my Dad! Hope Sir Richard Starkey has a fabulous day.” Ringo’s real name is Richard Starkey, and he became a “Sir” in 2018 when he was honored at Buckingham Palace.

Are Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney still friends? Yes, they are! They are the only two Beatles still alive, and they get along great. Ringo once said on a TV show called Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2021 that he and Paul are just as close as when they first met. They even video chat with each other a lot.

It’s awesome to see them stay friends after so long, especially since many band friends don’t get along after their bands stop playing. Paul and Ringo have been buddies for years, and that’s really cool!

Paul McCartney is getting ready to go on tour again with his Got Back Tour from October to December this year. Some people think he might make new music soon, but he hasn’t said for sure if he will.

Ringo Starr is also busy. He’s going on tour with his group, the All Starr Band, in September. Plus, there’s talk that he’s making a new country music album. Being 84 doesn’t stop him from doing what he loves!
