Paul McCartney Tried To Get Alex Lifeson To Revive Rush, Geddy Lee Confirms

Geddy Lee, a member of the famous band Rush, recently talked to Louder Sound about something exciting. He said that Paul McCartney, another big music star, really wants Rush to play together again.

The interviewer brought up how Paul McCartney got involved after Rush played a show at Wembley. Geddy explained, “Paul was super excited after our concert. He was like our cheerleader, telling Alex we should go back on tour!”

This talk about Rush playing together again comes at a special time. The band has some big moments coming up. For example, their last tour, called the R40 Live Tour, ended in 2015, according to AXS TV. That tour only happened in North America because their drummer, Neil Peart, wasn’t feeling well.

Rush also shared some news on their website about a new project called “RUSH 50.” It’s a huge collection of their music that will come out on March 21, 2025. This celebrates 50 years of their amazing songs. It’s the first big thing Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, the other band member, have worked on together since their last show.

Paul McCartney’s excitement shows how much other musicians still love Rush. Even though the band members are doing their own things now, their music still connects them and inspires others.
