Reba McEntire shared a special message on her Facebook page that touched many hearts. Her words were so powerful that her fans couldn’t help but feel moved. Here’s what she wrote, rewritten in a simple and clear way for everyone to enjoy—even kids!
This morning, Reba woke up happy, thinking about her mom. She said, “I’m so glad Mama feels better today than she did 70 years ago when I was born.” Reba is thankful her mom decided to keep her, even though things weren’t easy back then.
Reba is the third of four kids in her family. When she was born in March 1955, her older sister Alice was 3, and her brother Pake was almost 2. They were wild and full of energy, always keeping their mom busy. One night, when Reba was ready to be born, her mom’s water broke. But she was so tired she just changed her nightgown and went back to sleep! Later, when the pains got stronger, Reba’s dad drove her mom to the hospital in McAlester.
Reba’s birth wasn’t simple. She was turned the wrong way, so the doctor had to move her around to come out right. It was tough for her mom, with no big medicines—just some gas to help with the pain. Even after all that, her mom kept her, and Reba is so grateful for that.
Two and a half years later, her younger sister Susie was born. That made four kids—Alice, Pake, Reba, and Susie. Reba calls them the “Fearsome Foursome” because they were a fun, lively bunch! She feels lucky to have such a wonderful family, with the best aunts, uncles, and cousins anyone could ask for.
Reba also thanked God for giving her an amazing life. She turned 70 years old and feels young at heart. She told her fans, “Thank you for singing Happy Birthday and sending me wishes. You make my life better and more fun. I’m so thankful for you all.” She believes God and her angels guide her every day and put all her fans in her life for a reason.
Reba ended her message with love. “I love you always,” she wrote, thanking everyone for their birthday wishes. Her words show how much she cares about her family, her fans, and the life she’s been given. It’s easy to see why so many people felt happy and inspired reading her post!
