Snoop Dogg just brought back one of the most iconic moments from his early career — his 1993 MTV Video Music Awards performance of “Murder Was the Case.”
During his recent appearance on Noochie’s Live From the Front Porch, Snoop opened the show with a powerful performance of the song. He started in a wheelchair, then stood up during the second verse — exactly like he did during his unforgettable 1993 VMA performance. That original performance became legendary not only for its energy but also because police detectives were waiting backstage to arrest Snoop for murder charges. At the end of the performance, he shouted, “I’m innocent,” before turning himself in later that night.
Snoop Dogg was later found not guilty in 1996, and just last year, the case was officially sealed.

Snoop Dogg Becomes a Grandfather for the 8th Time
In other big news, Snoop Dogg has just become a grandfather again — for the eighth time!
His daughter, Cori Broadus, recently gave birth to her first child. The baby girl arrived early, born at just 25 weeks on February 28. Cori shared the emotional news on Instagram, posting a picture of the baby’s tiny foot and writing:
“The princess arrived at 6 months. I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself because I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed. But no matter what, God always shows me that He got me! Baby girl came at 25 weeks today and she’s the best!! Thank You God for getting me this far.”
Cori also shared that the baby was delivered via c-section and is currently in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Her pregnancy became high-risk due to her existing lupus diagnosis and a serious condition called HELLP syndrome — a rare but dangerous pregnancy complication affecting the liver and blood system.
Cori previously said that Snoop Dogg was hoping for a grandson.
“My mom and dad were so excited — their baby girl is having a baby. My dad was hoping for a grandson, though,” she told E! News last year.
