Musical theatre performer Sydnie Christmas, who won ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent in 2024, has addressed fans who got in touch with their concerns over her health

Sydnie Christmas issues responds to fans who think she’s ‘unwell’
The songstress was inundated with messages telling her she needs to take a rest because she looks so ‘tired’ when in actual fact she just wasn’t wearing any makeup.
Taking to her Instagram Story, she said: “Just got to say something. I have just got to say something. So, obviously, I put a video on yesterday of me talking about whatever I was talking about, and yes, I did not have any makeup on. The amount of people who messaged me going ‘Sydnie, you look so tired! You must be looking after yourself!’”

The TV star was mystified as to why in ‘this day and age’ a natural complexion leads to questions of illness and reassured her 200,000 followers that she is ‘completely fine’ despite the concern.
“Guys, I just haven’t got any makeup on. I’m just rocking what my mother gave me in them moment in time. I’m fine, I am completely fine!
“It’s so funny, this day and age, the second you don’t have any makeup on, people think you’re not well.”
Since winning BGT, Sydnie has released the album My Way, performed for King Charles at the Royal Variety Performance and found herself schmoozing in LA with Michael Buble and Jennifer Hudson. Over the summer, she played the part of Cruella de Vil in 101 Dalmatians: The Musical alongside Jeff Brazier and Aston Merrygold.
But despite living the dream, Sydnie insisted her feet are still firmly on the ground. When asked about her fame, she recently said: “I don’t get noticed, ever. I get on the Tube and no one bats an eyelid. I’m not that famous! I was out with Harry Clark and Paul Gorton from The Traitors last summer – they’re my friends. Everyone recognised them, but not me. They thought that I was their manager.”
