The Dirty Mac: Lennon, Clapton, Richards & Mitchell’s Iconic One-Time Performance

In December 1968, John Lennon, a famous singer from The Beatles, started a special band called The Dirty Mac. He teamed up with three other big music stars: Eric Clapton, who played lead guitar, Keith Richards, who played bass, and Mitch Mitchell, who played drums. They only performed together once, singing a song called “Yer Blues” at an event called the Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus. This was the first time John sang live without his Beatles friends.

Their performance was super exciting and full of energy. People loved it so much that it’s still famous today, and millions have watched it online. Fans say it’s one of the best team-ups in rock music history. Even after all these years, The Dirty Mac’s show feels just as awesome and special as it did back then.
