The Opry 100 celebration was a huge country music party with tons of amazing singers! Some of the performers were Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Dierks Bentley, Randy Travis, Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, The War & Treaty, Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Clint Black, Trace Adkins, Marty Stuart, Alan Jackson, Post Malone, Alison Krauss & Union Station, Yolanda Adams, Ricky Skaggs, Terri Clark, Steven Curtis Chapman, and Jamey Johnson. That’s a lot of talent! They all showed how different and wonderful country music can be.
One super cool moment was when Luke Combs sang. He gave an awesome performance that everyone loved. You can watch it below!
Blake Shelton was the host of the night, which means he was in charge of keeping everything fun and exciting. He also sang a song called “Pickup Man.” Then he teamed up with Trace Adkins and Clint Black for a special “Party Jam.” They mixed together some popular ’90s country songs. Clint sang “Nothin’ but the Taillights,” and Trace sang “(This Ain’t) No Thinkin’ Thing.” You can see part of their fun mashup below.
There were so many great performances that night! For example, Carrie Underwood sang a sweet song to honor Randy Travis, and Post Malone joined Travis Tritt for a lively duet. The show was full of surprises and will be remembered forever.
To end the big TV part of the night, which was shown on NBC and Peacock, more than 50 Opry members stood on stage together. They sang “I Will Always Love You” to celebrate Dolly Parton. Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott, and Dave Haywood from Lady A led the group, and Carrie Underwood and Reba McEntire joined in too. It was a beautiful moment.
But there was a secret surprise! After the TV show ended, the singers stayed on stage for one more song that only the people in the audience got to see live. They all sang “Will the Circle Be Unbroken” together. It was a perfect way to close the Opry 100 celebration. You can watch this special performance below, and if you want to see the whole show, it’s on Peacock now, according to the Grand Ole Opry’s Instagram.
This night was a big, happy celebration of country music and all the stars who make it so special!
