Blake Shelton had an amazing time after filming his last episode as a coach on NBC’s The Voice. It was the end of season 23, and everyone threw a huge party to celebrate him. Something super special happened at the party—his wife, Gwen Stefani, surprised him!
Gwen couldn’t be at the live show because she was busy somewhere else, but she made it to the party just in time. An eyewitness said Gwen showed up, gave Blake a big kiss, and they hung out with friends and the people who work on The Voice. Around midnight, Gwen and Blake danced together to fun music, including a song by Gwen’s old band, No Doubt, called “Just a Girl.” Everyone at the party went wild!
Other Voice coaches were there too, having a blast. Kelly Clarkson danced a lot, while Chance the Rapper and Niall Horan chatted with friends. Niall had an extra reason to smile because his singer, Gina Miles, won the whole competition! She beat Blake’s singer, Grace West, by just a tiny bit—the closest win ever on The Voice, according to the host, Carson Daly. Niall even joined the dance floor later with Gina and his friends before the party ended around 12:15 a.m.
The night before, Gwen had another surprise for Blake. She took him to a cozy dinner at a place called Casa Vega in Los Angeles. They ate chips, salsa, and drank margaritas with friends, including Carson Daly. Gwen shared funny videos online, joking that Blake thought she was planning a big party for him, but she tricked him!
During the show, Gwen wasn’t there in person, but she sent a video message that played for everyone. In it, she talked about how much she loves Blake and how proud she is of him. Blake was a coach on The Voice for 23 seasons—that’s 12 years! He won nine times, more than anyone else. Gwen and Blake also met on The Voice, became best friends, and fell in love. They got married in 2021, and Gwen said meeting Blake changed her life forever.
In the video, Gwen got emotional talking about how Blake is her soulmate. She said The Voice will keep going, but Blake’s mark on the show will always be there. Blake smiled big when he saw her message and told Carson that he and Gwen still can’t believe their love story happened. “We talk about it all the time,” he said, laughing.
Even though Blake is leaving The Voice for now, Gwen is coming back as a coach for season 24. Blake might even visit to help her out, because he once said he’d do anything for her. But in a funny video Gwen posted, Blake joked, “I’m done with The Voice—don’t ask me to come back!”
Blake told reporters he’s happy about leaving the show. He said he’ll miss it sometimes, but he’s excited to spend more time with Gwen, her three sons, and his family. He wants to say “yes” to fun things in his life now, instead of being too busy.
The Voice will be back for season 24 this fall, and fans can’t wait to see what happens next!
