Sophia Liano Drops a Shocking Video After Her Controversial The Voice Exit Following a Battle Against Mia Knight, 16

Florida singer Sophia Liano is giving fans a new reason to pay attention after her elimination from The Voice season 30. Following her Battle Round loss to 16-year-old Mia Knight, Liano shared a new video of her original music, revealing why she can finally release the song and sparking excitement among supporters.

Text displayed on the video made the timing clear. “I got eliminated from the voice tonight so I can finally release this 😍😍,” the on-screen message read. Another line explained the inspiration behind the track: “I haven’t heard sexy jazz in a while so I wrote this.”

The post comes just days after Liano’s emotional Battle Round duet with Knight aired on October 26. The two Team Queen Latifah singers performed Never Enough from The Greatest Showman, delivering a vocal showdown that left all four coaches stunned.

“That was shocking. I didn’t know people sang like that in real life,” Riley Green said, praising Liano’s tone and Knight’s vocal range.

Queen Latifah’s team advisor, Patti LaBelle, was especially impressed by Knight, comparing the teenager to legendary singers Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion. Kelly Clarkson even jumped out of her chair during the performance, reacting with disbelief to Knight’s final vocal run.

“It was neck and neck for me until the lord came down,” Clarkson said. “I don’t know what you did, Mia, but that little jab you got in with that little run.”

Adam Levine also praised Liano’s voice and tone, while noting Knight’s impressive control at just 16 years old. Queen Latifah praised both singers, telling them, “What you just did out there, we are all better for it.”

Ultimately, Latifah chose Knight, explaining that the teenager had grown throughout the performance and showed confidence on stage. Liano’s journey on the show came to an end, leaving some viewers questioning the decision and wondering why none of the other coaches stepped in to save her.

Following the episode, Liano thanked the show and her coach on social media, writing, “Thank you @nbcthevoice for this opportunity and thank you @queenlatifah !! Follow me to keep up with my music and journey ❤️❤️.”

Now, her latest video is shifting attention back to her own music. Captioned “jazzy baby” with the hashtags #jazz, #originalsong and #thevoice, the post drew enthusiastic responses from listeners eager to hear more.

One fan who had not watched the show commented, “I had no idea that you were on the Voice cuz I ain’t watched it, but I am INCREDIBLY pleased to know this will be releasing properly, my wife and I Love this piece so far.”

Another listener praised the track, writing, “This is so good 10/10,” while a supporter shared, “I am so proud of you and I hope you are proud of yourself.”

Fans also flooded the comments with requests for a release, including “Release it !!!” and “Please we need it released.” One person even said the song made them consider using it in an animated series they are developing.

Not every reaction was entirely positive. One listener felt the track had too much echo, commenting, “You dont need the reverb. Too much echo for sexy jazz.” However, the overall response was filled with praise and encouragement.

Meanwhile, debate over Liano’s elimination continues. Some viewers believed she delivered the more consistent performance during Never Enough, while others felt Knight earned the win with her final vocal run. One fan praised both singers, saying it was a shame someone as talented as Liano had to go home.

Although Liano did not advance on Team Queen, her latest video suggests she is ready to focus on releasing original music. After telling viewers she can finally share the song following her elimination, the Florida singer has left fans eager to find out what else she has in store.
