50 Cent: “I love Eminem to death, I’m so grateful what he did for me”

50 Cent-Eminem-Dr Dre

50 Cent is opening up about what it meant to work with Eminem on his hit crime drama series BMF (Black Mafia Family) — and he’s not holding back on the praise.

In a recent exclusive interview with Express UK, the rapper-turned-TV mogul shared heartfelt reflections on collaborating with his longtime friend and mentor Eminem, who made a rare cameo appearance as “White Boy Rick” in the seventh episode of the series, which 50 Cent also directed.

“Working with Eminem was great,” 50 said. “I think it was the comfortability of me directing that even allowed him to say yes to that. He was like, ‘Well, what are we doing? Because we’re doing it.’ It’s not like someone else is telling me what to do, and I am uncomfortable.”

A Deep Bond Beyond Music

50 Cent also used the moment to reflect on how Eminem launched his career, crediting him for giving him the ultimate co-sign at a time when Em’s influence was unmatched.

“I love Em to death — that’s my guy. He launched my career. When he said, ‘50’s going to be the next biggest thing,’ he was already at 23 million copies sold with The Marshall Mathers LP. That was all he had to do for me. I was ready to go.”

While others may view it through a business lens, 50 made it clear that he sees Eminem’s support as a gesture of loyalty and friendship, not just a music industry transaction.

“Some people say, ‘I made you a lot of money.’ But I don’t look at it like that. I look at it like, ‘I’m so grateful for what you did.’”

BMF’s Star Power Keeps Growing

With Snoop Dogg also playing a major role in the series and Eminem’s surprise cameo, BMF continues to attract big names and high praise, blending gritty storytelling with authentic hip-hop culture. As 50 Cent expands his television empire, it’s clear his roots in music — and the people who helped shape his rise — remain close to his heart.
