Metal music is loud, exciting, and loved by people all over the world. It brings fans together and makes them want to play music too. One of the biggest metal bands is Metallica, and they’ve inspired so many people to grab a guitar and start rocking.
Meet Callum McPhie, a 10-year-old boy from Canberra, Australia, who’s already making a name for himself in metal music. When he tried out for Australia’s Got Talent, he played Metallica’s song “Enter Sandman” and totally wowed everyone. Wearing cool metal clothes and holding a guitar almost as big as he was, Callum rocked the stage with tons of energy and love for music.
Even though he’s so young, Callum played the tricky parts of the song perfectly. The crowd and judges couldn’t believe how awesome he was, and he earned a spot to keep competing on the show.
Callum’s family and fans cheer him on every step of the way. He also has a great guitar teacher from France who’s helped other young stars, like Tina S, become amazing players.
Callum’s time on Australia’s Got Talent ended after he played a super tough song called “Through The Fire And The Flames” by Dragonforce. He didn’t win, but he never gave up. As of 2023, he’s still making music with his band, St. Crimson, playing wild and powerful songs like the famous band King Crimson.
Even though he didn’t take home the prize, Callum showed kids and grown-ups alike that chasing your dreams is what matters. He’s a bright light for anyone who loves music and wants to rock out.
We’re excited to see what Callum does next. Here’s to him—a super cool kid who’s inspiring the next generation of music fans and players!
