Country music star Alan Jackson is finishing his long career with a goodbye tour called Last Call: One More For The Road. He started this tour in 2022, but he took a break because he has a health problem called Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. Even with this challenge, he decided to come back and finish his shows. The last one will be on May 17 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Alan Jackson recently told fans he might make a new album, saying there’s “more music to come.” Even though he won’t tour anymore, he’s enjoying every second of his final shows. At a recent concert in Orlando, Florida, he got emotional while singing his popular song “Drive.”
At the Kia Center in Orlando, Alan sang “Drive,” a song from his 2002 album that reached No. 1. This time, it was extra special. Before singing, he talked to the crowd about the song. He said, “I wrote this song years ago when my dad passed away. I didn’t want it to be a sad, crying song. I thought about growing up and how I always wanted to drive things. My dad taught me all about that. That’s what this song is about.”
After sharing this story, Alan started singing. When he got to the last part of the song, he had to pause because he felt so much. This moment was a way to honor his dad one more time. It was also one of the last times he’d sing “Drive” for thousands of fans. It seems Alan, like everyone else, is finding it tough to say goodbye to the stage.
