FBI’s Patel: Agencies Looking Into Alleged Threat Against Trump By Comey

Federal authorities are examining a recently removed tweet by former FBI Director James Comey, which numerous individuals perceived as a subtle threat directed towards former President Donald Trump.

Comey shared a photograph of seashells organized to display the numbers ’86 47′, which is understood as a euphemism for ‘eliminate the 47th president.’ FBI Director Kash Patel acknowledged collaboration with the Secret Service, while Comey subsequently professed unawareness of the message’s significance. Trump and various officials, including Tulsi Gabbard and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, denounced the post as a perilous, coded communication. Detractors contend that Comey, given his law enforcement experience, was aware of the connotations associated with such terminology. An investigation is currently underway.
