This collaboration proved especially meaningful given Liam’s longtime criticism of Coldplay—he had previously referred to Chris Martin as looking like a “geography teacher” or a “plant pot”. But after the performance, he publicly softened his stance: “They’ve never sounded so good have they, Coldplay? … I take back everything I’ve ever said about you. You sound fking really good,”** he remarked in an interview.
