The biopic has been in development for several years, and Jack has now confirmed that the script is complete and the project is currently searching for a director.

Speaking about the film, Jack explained that one of his guiding principles throughout the project has been simple: “give the fans what they want.” He believes that approach is particularly important when telling the story of someone whose career was built around his connection with his audience.

Jack also made it clear that the family does not want the movie to become an overly artistic or complicated production that loses sight of Ozzy and his fans. Instead, the goal is to create a straightforward and authentic portrayal of the legendary Black Sabbath frontman.

Ozzy died in July 2025 at the age of 76, leaving behind an extraordinary musical legacy and generations of devoted fans. His life was filled with remarkable achievements, personal struggles and unforgettable moments, giving the filmmakers plenty of material to explore.

Jack has also revealed that the family already has an actor in mind to play Ozzy, although the identity has not yet been announced.
