So much for the hip-hop drama!
On Tuesday night, Eminem made a surprise appearance at Drake’s concert at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, putting an end to weeks of speculation about a supposed feud between the two rap stars.
A Legendary Moment on Stage
The crowd was already buzzing, but when Eminem suddenly rose from beneath the stage, the energy exploded. He joined Drake to perform their hit “Forever”, and as soon as he started rapping, the audience’s screams nearly drowned him out.
Drake showed his respect by bowing and telling the crowd:
“Make some noise for the greatest rapper to ever get on a microphone.”
Eminem, in his usual hoodie and low-key stance, kept it simple. He thanked the crowd, showed love to Drake, and signed off with:
“Detroit, I love you. I’m out.”
Ending the Rumors
Drake was in Detroit as part of his Summer Sixteen Tour with Future, just two weeks after playing another show at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
The surprise appearance ended weeks of hip-hop drama. Rumors of tension had started due to Drake’s beef with Joe Budden, who is part of Eminem’s Slaughterhouse crew under Shady Records. Things escalated in August when radio host Ebro Darden claimed Eminem was planning to release a diss track aimed at Drake.
Clearly, that wasn’t the case. Instead of beef, fans got an epic moment between two rap giants.
