Jesse Jo Stark has opened up about the unexpected way she first met Yungblud, revealing that their relationship began with a simple direct message from the British rocker.
Speaking on the Lipps Service podcast, Jesse recalled that Dom Harrison, better known as Yungblud, contacted her toward the end of the COVID-19 pandemic with an unusual request: he wanted her to appear in one of his music videos.
Jesse admitted that she had turned down similar offers in the past, but something about Yungblud’s approach convinced her to give it a chance.
The singer-songwriter explained that Dom eventually FaceTimed her to pitch the concept for the video. His description was anything but ordinary, with the musician promising a production involving pit bulls, chains and plenty of his trademark rebellious energy.
At the time, however, Jesse was recovering from surgery for endometriosis and wasn’t sure whether she would be able to participate.
She explained that she had restrictions and wasn’t feeling completely ready for everything that might be involved in filming. Rather than being put off, Dom reportedly encouraged her to come along and made her feel comfortable about her situation.
Jesse also recalled that Dom thought her surgical scars were “punk rock,” which helped reassure her that she did not need to hide what she was going through.
Once they met on set, the experience became memorable for Jesse.

She described Yungblud as having an incredibly magnetic personality, saying his energy was infectious and made people want to stay around him.
That first meeting ultimately became the beginning of their relationship, with the pair later becoming romantically involved.
Jesse’s recollection offers a glimpse into the early days of their connection and explains how an unexpected social-media message eventually turned into something much more significant.
Rather than meeting through the traditional Hollywood route, their story began with a music-video invitation and a spontaneous decision to say yes.
