Neil Young announces free concert in Ukraine as part of upcoming Love Earth world tour

Neil Young, a famous musician, has exciting news for his fans. He’s starting his Love Earth tour in Europe with a free concert in Ukraine. This means everyone can come enjoy the music without paying! He shared this on his website and said he’ll give more details, like the date and place, very soon.

Neil and his band, The Chrome Hearts, will begin the tour this summer in Rättvik, Sweden. They’ll travel across Europe and North America, playing music from his new album, Talkin’ to the Trees. The tour will end in Los Angeles on September 15th.

Neil wrote, “Come join us for a fun summer celebration! We’ll play old songs, new songs, and have a great time together. Me and The Chrome Hearts can’t wait to see you!”

Neil cares a lot about what’s happening in Ukraine. He once said Russia’s leader, Vladimir Putin, is doing wrong things to change history for himself. This free concert comes after the U.S. President, Donald Trump, met with Ukraine’s leader, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Around that time, Neil wrote a blog post called Leader of the Free World No More. In it, he said he’s worried the U.S. isn’t leading the world like it used to, but he believes good people will still stand up and show the world what’s right.

Besides the tour, Neil will perform at a big event in London called BST Hyde Park. It’s his first time back there since 2019, when he played with another famous singer, Bob Dylan. He’s also going to Glastonbury, a huge music festival, after skipping it before because of some disagreements.

Neil has more surprises too! He made a movie called Coastal about his 2023 solo tour. There’s also a special album, Coastal: The Soundtrack, with simple versions of his best songs.

So, get ready for a summer full of Neil Young’s music and messages about peace and freedom!
