Sharon Osbourne has reignited her long-running feud with Courtney Love after making a startling allegation about the rock star during a live event in Los Angeles.
The former X Factor star, 73, claimed that Love gave her daughter Kelly Osbourne drugs when Kelly was a teenager. Sharon then launched into a series of harsh insults about Love during the onstage discussion.
The remarks were made Saturday, August 15, during a live Q&A screening event for If These Walls Could Rock at the Landmark Sunset Theatre in Los Angeles.
During the event, one audience member recorded part of the conversation as the presenter appeared to ask Sharon about the person she believed had given Kelly drugs.
The host said: “Oh you know who gave it to her? You don’t have to say, but you know.”
Sharon responded by naming Courtney Love, 62.
When the presenter encouraged her to explain what had happened, Sharon declined to provide further details.
Instead, she added a series of insults directed at Love, calling her a “c***” and describing her as a “boring old c***” and a “dry, old c***.”
The footage was later shared on Instagram, with the user who posted it saying Sharon had been discussing someone who allegedly gave Kelly drugs when she was a young teenager before revealing the person’s identity.
The Sun has contacted Courtney Love’s representative for comment.
A dispute dating back years
Sharon’s latest allegation comes after years of tension between the two women.
In 2007, Sharon previously accused Love of introducing her son Jack Osbourne to the prescription drug OxyContin.
At the time, Sharon said she believed Love was the first person to give Jack the drug and described her feelings toward the singer as deeply personal.
Love strongly denied the accusation.
“I never did that. I would never give drugs to a teenager,” she said at the time, before directing an angry response at Sharon.
Courtney has also previously denied giving drugs to teenagers in general.
The latest allegation
The claim involving Kelly was made during Saturday’s event, but Sharon did not elaborate on when the alleged incident took place or provide further details about what she claimed happened.
The remarks therefore remain an allegation from Sharon, while Love has previously rejected similar accusations concerning teenagers.
The latest comments have nevertheless brought the long-running feud between the two back into the spotlight, years after their earlier dispute over Jack Osbourne.
