The dust is still settling after one of the most emotional eliminations on American Idol Season 24—but now, both Brooks Rosser and Daniel Stallworth are speaking out, and their reactions are not what many fans expected.
Just two weeks before the finale, the April 27 episode delivered a brutal blow as both singers were eliminated following the Top 7 performances. With the fewest viewer votes, their journeys came to an abrupt end—leaving fans stunned and sparking heated reactions online.
But instead of frustration or disappointment, both artists are choosing gratitude.

Appearing on the official American Idol podcast with Danielle Fishel, Brooks reflected on his time in the competition with surprising humility. “I did not think I would make it this far,” he admitted, revealing that even earning a Golden Ticket felt like a major win to him. For Brooks, the experience itself became the real prize. He described the journey as overwhelmingly positive, saying he’s proud of how far he came and deeply thankful for the support he received along the way.
That support, he emphasized, extended beyond the cameras. Brooks shared that the judges made a point to reassure him after his elimination, reminding him that this moment wasn’t the end of his story. Their encouragement only reinforced his belief that bigger opportunities are ahead.

Daniel, however, entered the competition with a different mindset—and left with the same determination intact.
“I had every intent of making it far,” he said candidly, explaining that he pushed himself every step of the way to reach his goals. Even so, he holds no regrets. Instead, he described his Idol experience as something he wouldn’t trade for anything, adding that he’s genuinely excited for what comes next.
And while their journeys on the show may be over, the bonds they built behind the scenes are clearly lasting.
Daniel revealed that he formed a particularly strong connection with Jordan McCullough, sharing that the two had already talked about how they’d support each other no matter what happened. True to that promise, Daniel says he’ll be backing Jordan all the way moving forward.
Brooks also opened up about the friendships that defined his experience. He grew especially close to Braden Rumfelt after meeting during auditions, maintaining a steady support system throughout the competition. He also credited Chris Tungseth for being there during key moments. And, of course, his most talked-about connection remains with Rae Boyd—his girlfriend, whose presence became a major part of his Idol journey.
Looking ahead, both artists are wasting no time planning their next moves.

Daniel is already focused on turning music into a full-time career, with ambitions to tour and continue growing not just as a performer, but as a person. He spoke about wanting to inspire others while staying motivated himself—a mindset that reflects the same passion fans saw on stage.
Brooks, meanwhile, is carrying forward a renewed sense of confidence. After exceeding his own expectations on the show, he’s stepping into the next chapter with gratitude, pride, and a clear message: this is only the beginning.
Their eliminations may have closed one door—but if their reactions are any indication, something much bigger could be just ahead.
